Sherrie Williams, LCSW
Chief Operating Officer, Global Partnership for Telehealth
Sherrie Williams, LCSW, chief operating officer for the Global Partnership for Telehealth, knows that telemedicine is the answer for the nation’s health care shortage. After graduating with a master’s degree in social work from Valdosta State University, she began working in the private mental health field and public school system. For nearly 15 years, Williams witnessed firsthand what happens to children and families when necessary medical and mental health care is out of reach. By working with existing and potential partners in the United States and beyond to implement and design sustainability strategies for telemedicine programs, Williams believes that all U.S. residents will remain connected to health care despite growing shortages.
